I feel a culture clash coming on
[OT from cottage renovations]
tomorrow is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. it was also my mother's birthday, but that's not a problem as she was always a deep aficionada of all things piratical (exposure at a tender age to the works of Robert Louis Stevenson will do that, though these days I suppose that the Disney organisation has largely supplanted that source for the purpose).
but it's also our weekly Hatha yoga instruction in the Town Hall, on which I depend for balance and for holding together the world. so I have been wondering what will happen when the session falls on the annual day set aside for the coarser side of nautical dialect:
| "Avast there, me hearties!
settlin' yer swabbie selves inta a comf'table seated position, and clearin' yer minds o' all thoughts outside this here cabin..." |

y'all are way overdue for an introduction to Cap'n Mark (the scourge of Chestnut Avenue). he will be attending the rerefenestration rededication Saturday week (along with spouse and sea dog). but if for some reason you guys can't make it we'll find another way to make it happen.
