[OT from cottage renovations]

yesterday's rain and overcast cleared up; today was warm and sunny.  the clear sky brought shadows out to play while spring settled in a bit more.

Your flower shots are always well worth looking at, but the 4th Ave crocus shots are exceptionally appealing. I love the way you caught the light on/through them...

Hi George,
The upper 4th Ave crocus picture is so beautiful. Like spring rising out of the ground to worship the light... As the old hymn goes "...Join with all nature in manifold witness, to thy great faithfulness, mercy and love".

as long as they stay in bloom (which this year seems to be for quite a while) and as long as the light keeps dong this sort of thing, I just keep on taking pictures of them but am feeling reluctant about continuing with uploading more-of-the-same image posts (for these ones, though, there was no reason to hold back; also, I should probably double check -- they might actually have been taken on Grove Avenue in Sarah Steel's front yard).

except for the Virginia Bluebells, for which I've decided to do a time series.
