[OT from cottage renovations]

I do keep going on about how difficult Meg is to photograph.  her colours and markings are heck on contrast, but there's also the problem that her willingness to be a photographic subject is limited by her desire to be interacting with whoever happens to be around. 

so over the past couple of days we've been experimenting, she and I: she sits on my shoulder and I stand in front of the mirror and try to get a picture (the dark arc in the lower left of the image is the camera lens).  reversing the image takes no more than a mouse click.

yes, she is a very sweet little thing.  and fierce. 

not that I had needed the reminder, but it's just about impossible to be bored with a kitten around the place.  equally difficult to get anything done, of course, but then one quickly comes to the realisation that it doesn't matter.
