post primer
Friday started and ended with rain but the painters were on the job site between. they finished the window sashes and got a first finish coat on everything. when I got home I decided to try to grab what light there was for this quick picture.

if you click through the above image you'll see how the S wall painting has gotten rather ahead of the carpentry. also of note is the colour shift between the lower and upper façade: even with a primer coat in place that old wood up there is quite thirsty. although there's still lots to do, all in all things really are converging nicely.
the rerefenestration rededication will be in two weeks.

You seem to have chosen wisely, sir.

had I been left to my own devices I might have gone with white or a light grey. but as old walls came back to light last year, revealing the previous shades, I found the desire for reversion to be stronger.
I don't really care for those deep, intense shades of yellow (there was a time when they were all the rage for kitchens) mostly because I associate them with migraines. this yellow is sufficiently subdued; I can live with it.

thank you, it's always pleasant to hear when somebody likes the place.
tomorrow's forecast is for clear and warm. if there's any sort of decent afternoon light I'll try to take digichromatic advantage of it.

you're quite welcome to do that any time.
particularly the afternoon and evening of 30 September in connection with the rerefenestration rededication, but if that doesn't work out any ol' time will do.
