looks like it would have been nice to sit on the porch and watch the light. if it werent for the cold wind all day.

uh, yes. 
this journal is ostensibly about the cottage.  for further detail see the back entries, particularly last year when work was actually going on.

yes, it was rather breezy at times, but it didn't ever get unpleasantly cold.  didn't get a whole lot of porch time in today, there was too much weed pulling to do in the garden and in the Circle, also the annual flower show was going on.  but this shot did provide the excuse for a bit or porch sitting; I had tried it yesterday but hadn't been pleased with how it came out, so I waited for the sun to come around to the right angle this afternoon in order to reshoot.
