in the continuing and foolish hope that the painters will ever produce an estimate and then actually show up to do the work of surface prep, priming and application of finish coat, by way of confirming colour choices I acquired and applied a bit of finish paint to a couple of test sections.

the final choices are:

- porch ceiling:	light blue	(SW  6773  )
- walls:	pale yellow	(SW  6687  )
- windows, doors, pediment, porch columns and framing:	white
- other trim:	dark green	(SW  6454  )
- porch deck:	grey	(SW  6234  )

if the work ever gets done the results really will look quite attractive.
