looking up and out
the image below is the view from inside the cottage, looking up and out through the upper window. I don't think I had gotten around to posting it before.
it has recently occurred to me that for this window to be reused in the rebuilding of the other end of the house it will have to have been replaced before that gets done.
duuuuh.
the plan sequence error has been corrected.
a couple of years ago while laid up after surgery I lived on the couch in the front room for a few weeks during which time this is what I saw, except that the tree limbs were decorated with leaves rather than snow. I had already been very partial to this view and fortunately that experience did nothing to diminish my pleasure in it -- it and the rest of the surroundings probably assisted my recuperation.

(the image distortions are an artifact of the window's old ripply glass)
looking up and out
image was taken Monday morning; the snow has since melted though it is once again below freezing out there.
