I took these images while taking a bit of a break from carpet removal.

a modest ridgeline runs roughly NE-SW through the other side of the Circle. it provides a vantage point from which one can see right through the loft level of the cottage. it also helps to illustrate the slope of the lot from front to back.

look carefully at the higher resolution version of this image and you can see right through the front and rear upper windows. the dragon silhouette in the lower pane is no illusion; a small one lives in the loft, suspended from the rafters.
