years ago during an incident involving a Christmas tree I told the Wonder Boy (who was still the Wee Bairn) "don't *ever* do this"  before trimming the bottom of its trunk with a chain saw.  in the living room, actually.  OK, it was an electric one, but the message I was trying to convey through words if not example was the obvious safety precaution:  "don't use a chain saw in the house". 
good thing he wasn't here this morning, else he would have seen me using one *on*  the house. 

this was done to open up part of the falsework in order to get a look at what's behind it.
