Bittersweet Cottage garden

red poppies: lush, gangly, downright outrageous.
add water and the texture gets even better, worth revisiting. seen here all hunched over under the cumulative load of all those drops.

something caused this heavy bud to snap before it could bloom.

on the back steps this tulip poplar blossom fragment was doing the unexpected: an excellent false colour rendition of the batman logo.
