yes, it's that time of year again ... the feeder is out and the annual race is on.  the outcome -- win or lose -- will be posted in this space.

What fun! We see them each year near their northernmost reach, in Georgian Bay, Ontario--but unlike the brave souls who were among last year's first spotters there (as the site map for '07 shows), we do not get to the Bay in early May, shortly after the ice goes out! Still, knowing these tiny creatures came through the Grove's latitude and kept on going that further thousand miles under their own steam--as only part of their journey--will certainly add to my delight in July or August this year...
