Gautier, MS

although we'd loaded up with tools and supplies before setting out for the day, more was needed from the local big box hardware store.  here's the last of the load being tied down on a trailer.

Hutch, David, Mary

the home we worked on is located on a suburban street not far from the coast.  although it's slightly elevated from the street there had been about 4½ ft of water in it.

Elise shows high water mark

previous groups had mucked it out, torn out the rotted sheetrock, replaced framing, wiring and plumbing as necessary, and hung new drywall.  it still has quite a ways to go.

Ridge, grinding the floor in preparation for setting tile

real girls use power tools with the best of them.  under supervision, of course, but she's got the knack for it.

Elise and Hutch

the flooring we were laying down was a wonderful combination of precision milling and cheapness of materials.  working with it was a bit like a massive jigsaw puzzle.

David

Ruben, running that honking big grinder in a small bathroom

Hutch, planning ahead

Judy, Violet, Ed, Elise, Mary

Just a hint: We'd enjoy seeing an occasional shot of the photographer, so don't take the modesty thing too far.

... and if you look out the window there might be pigs flying past.  but there's a good chance my luck in lens avoidance might run out tomorrow at least once.
