what fell between the cracks

there hasn't been much to report of late in the way of cottage renovations.  work work has been consuming a disproportionate amount of time and energy, and what little progress I have been making on the loft floor has been occurring 8 in² at a time; any reportage would be as tedious to read as to write. 

as the carpeting slowly migrates from floor to trash bag, a smattering of artifacts has been coming to light.  because these finds have turned up in the cracks between floorboards it is not surprising that the majority are linear in shape: straight pins and small(ish) nails.

the cracks have also yielded a few poppy seeds and tiny glass fragments (not illustrated).
