Saturday: location scouting

[OT from cottage renovations]

the earlier part of the morning was set aside for scouting locations for some shoots for another project.  if it all comes together there could be as many as three shoots this weekend.  it's a good thing that it's up to others to wrangle everything that's going to be needed.

when I click thru thumbnails as instructed, only then am I able to figure out what that is in the top of the frame. And I naturally want to gently push that line up further so I can see more of his sandal. What a great cut job you did. Not only the peek-a-boo sandal but the parallel swipe of the digital knife on the upper right corner. If you stand back and squint, the entire image looks like an arrow pointing NW.

It's one of those images that keeps the mind intrigued.

there's actually less to this image than meets the eye.  the crop-at-the-top was done while framing the shot through the viewfinder rather than during subsequent processing (and the foot and sandal are those of my partner-in-crime Shelley who was filling in for an actual photographic subject).  the diagonal in the upper R is actually the edge and side of the lake's dock's diving board, its detail washed out in the ambient lighting's contrast. 

nonetheless I was pleased with how those effects came out and bonus points to you for picking up on them.
