[OT from cottage renovations]

limited diurnal connectivity means that I've fallen behind on image updates.  the night of the 31st was spent with my sister's in-laws who live on the 68^th floor of a landmark Chicago high rise building.

I crashed on their living room sofa.  this view made it hard to force myself to tune it out and get some sleep, but following a long day and with an early call for a flight out of Midway this morning there was no choice.

That is amazing. What a warm photo. I can see why it might have been difficult to close your eyes to that view.
If I ever move to a large city again, this is the sort of place I'd like to occupy.

Oooohh!! It had been a few days since I last logged into LJ...I wish I'd seen this earlier - I live in Chicago and we coulda met! Ah well.
