• A US cat with an apparent ability to sense when a nursing home's residents are about to die is baffling doctors. 
   
• A driver whose car engine was not making its usual purr was amazed to find the noise was being made by a tiny kitten.

A doctor who treats patients at the home said she believed there was probably a biochemical explanation, rather than the cat being psychic.

OK, let's grant her the biochemistry.  whether it's from that, or from voodoo, the cat still seems to have a sense for what's happening. 

improving the category hasn't gotten her any closer to providing an actual explanation of the phenomenon.
