Those are both wonderful shots. Isn't nature incredible? Almost tempts me to walk in the field---no, no just kidding. You know how paranoid I am about deer ticks. Thank goodness someone is braver than I and willing to bring these images to our attention...

this time of year, at least, my rules of engagement are:

• long sleeves
  and cuffs
• boots and socks
• shower after returning, checking for the little buggers.

someone said it takes 12 hrs for a tick to pass along the infection.  not sure whether that's true but I figure a 2 hr limit is not unreasonable.
