one of the indoor/outdoor seasonal migrants around here is a spider plant that winters in the bathroom skylight and summers on the porch. on Christmas morning it decided, for whatever reasons spider plants might have, to come into bloom.
the floral display might be considered modest by some but this is not a week when it has much in the way of competition.

Chinese silvergrass is an ornamental that can be found in gardens all around the Grove. its pale tufts never take a break from playing with breeze and light.
