[OT from cottage renovations]
there's nothing like getting a seemingly unshakable crud to really bring down an otherwise wonderful summer day, or in this case several of them in a row. I would prefer that it simply go away and only if absolutely necessary should it first bother with getting worse. this resting-at-it-and-high-fluid-throughput regime has left me completely uninteresting and unproductive.
despite the lassitude it has brought on I did venture forth a bit this afternoon and found these: morning glories in afternoon light.

Center Street
tightly furled and backlit, ready for tomorrow's one-day show.
twin buds in tight formation, looking for all the world like aerobatic stunt fliers caught in mid-swoop.
morning glory
a bit of light reflecting off the leaf in the foreground gives this one the slightest extra tint of green. the buds in the background will have to wait for a few more days for their turn to follow suit.
