by the time I got out today the light was running out as the snow was starting.

Woodward Park
the Grove's Auditorium was demolished in the mid-1960s, just before the notion of historic preservation had caught on. its doom was sealed by a single vote on the Council.
the site is now occupied by a outdoor basketball court, on which these hoop shooters were oblivious to the snow blowing through though I was rather taken with its effect on the texture of trunk and branch in the background.

Grove Avenue
weeping cherry branches
this view reminded me of Hiroshige's "Sudden Shower at Ohashi Bridge" from the series One Hundred Famous View of Edo and of "Oiso" from the series The Fifty Three Stations of the Tōkaidō.
McCathran Hall
the snow was just starting to stick to the dogwood branches in the foreground. I'm hoping it would provide depth and texture rather than clutter: you decide.
Knott Park
two views of the same branch, seen from different sides. distant streetlights show up in both, providing something of a Japanese lunar effect.
