[OT from cottage renovations]
the luxury of a day at home provided an opportunity to indulge in a brief stroll around the Grove during which these hydrangeas on Grove Avenue caught my attention.

ambient light was fading into dusk; a nearby back porch light brought out texture in the dried blossoms.

reflection from flash laid on a wintry aspect -- looking at this image brings on the suggestion of a chill though the evening was mild for January.
