getting back to work

the trim carpenter stopped by to collect hardware that hadn't been accessible to him while I'd been out of Town.  he reports the door frame is already built in his shop, and he's expecting to be back in a couple of days to build the window frames (he's doing the latter on site to reduce the amount of handling of the windows with their old glass; this was less of a concern with the doors whose glass is of new vintage). 

looks like the actual refenestration will be Monday and Tuesday of next week.
