I should have been finished with mimosas by now.  really, I should.  but today's light brought out the right colours so I just couldn't help myself.  really, I couldn't.

mimosa

like many other species, mimosas are serial bloomers throughout their season.  the older ones droop and decay while the newer ones come along, all very interesting for botanists I'm sure but probably not really catching them at their best.  I was willing to overlook that in order to see the colours finally come out right, and hope that you are too.

These are very pretty. I'm thinking I've seen them here in Calif. But where? Probably in Marin where I lived the longest and walked alot in the hills.
