in the evening Gypsy Meltdown provided the music and contra dancing broke out in the Town Hall.

the lighting was subdued, which improved the event for participants but also made imagery even more challenging than usual.  that's completely as it should be.  I often get quite concerned about the intrusiveness of taking pictures during Grove events; having a visual record may be A Good Thing in its own right but capturing images should always be subordinate to the activity itself.  the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle as applied to the Grove, as it were.

well, O.K., that's it for yesterday.  it's time to head off to the  Baroque  Brass Band Breakfast over at the Gazebo.

I've been known to.  on this occasion I did, sort of, for the last set.

Maybe someday I can come to Maryland and join this group of Contra dancers. I'd like that very much.

I have a standing-but-so-far-unfulfilled offer to my sister the dance hall habitué to head out to one nearby some time when she's in town.  last trip didn't work out but there's always the next one.
