The quality of the light in that photo is just absolutely incredible!

it was a very peculiar ambient light: highly diffuse from overcast but not so much so as to completely elimate contrast. 

when this journal first drifted into Grove images I always took note of the light with each entry.  haven't done that in a while but perhaps I should get back to it.
