dealing with leftovers

[OT from cottage renovations]

today started out cool and overcast but by late afternoon turned into an absolutely gorgeous spring day.  it was also the Grove's annual flower show, which we all attended.  I had hoped to catch some images of the people there but ambient lighting conditions kept that from happening.

the event did, however, produce leftovers that needed to be dealt with in some fashion. 

the refreshments table suffered from an overabundance of cake.  thank heavens we had volunteers available to assist with disposal. 

Grace and Rose - let them eat cake

in the evening we joined friends for dinner.  they had collected more garden blooms than needed for their show entries.

Those iris' are beautiful. I like the shadow play in the background allowing me to see the shape those three windows. So pretty.
