seeing red, again
[OT from cottage renovations]
it's an unpleasant truth that of all the flowers that bloom in the spring, tra la, the only one that leaves me cold is the tulip. I don't know why this is so, perhaps my brain just lacks a tulip receptor.

but Alice's tulips are a special case. she's gone, we miss her dreadfully, but as a legacy her tulips still bloom along the side fence of Balla Thur.
bright red, of course, her favourite, seen here in strong afternoon light. one can't look at them without thinking of her saying, as she often did: "Red is a neutral colour".
