the work on storm windows and screens has resumed, and today was the last sanity check on dimensions before glazing and screening gets applied. it never hurts to take another look, particularly where Grove houses are concerned.

the wisdom of this course was borne out by the results: two window frames (in the ground floor hallway opposite the guest room and bathrooms, in the intermediate level) were found to be skewed, which is to say that when the aperture was measured across both diagonals the variance was found to be on the order of 1½ in. the frames can and will be adjusted accordingly.
