for today, the S wall - outside but not inside

the trim carpenter showed up this morning with the TIG planks that have been milled for the S wall exterior siding. 

what he did not bring was two other crew members.  they seem to have been diverted to another job in Reston VA.  the S wall exterior work can probably get done today (will post pictures this evening), but the interiors will have to wait until next week.  it's just as well, because some of that bead board had been treated pretty roughly (they weren't expecting it would ever see the light of day again).  Getting It Right will likely require a fair amount of cutting and fitting, and it's better if the workmen who are doing it don't feel pressed for time. 

clearly this is my fault for having repositioned furniture in the front room to clear the expected work area and for having staged the material needed for the interior work onto the porch -- it's bad joss to tempt fate as much as that.
