save water. shower together. with your cat?
[OT from cottage renovations]
like many kittens Meg takes a great interest in anything that happens in the tub. whenever I take a shower she jumps onto the edge and walks around and around. now and then she loses her footing and slips down to surface level. this doesn't bother her in the least -- she is, after all, still on the other side of the shower curtain. after a while she will scramble back up to the edge to resume her traversal of the periphery, unconcerned about however wet she had gotten.
as soon as I get out she leaps in to lick up some of the water before it all goes down the drain. Peake does that, too, a habit he learned from Chessie. I don't know whether Meg learned this from Peake or whether she came up with it on her own.
I have always found it somewhat disconcerting to trade places with a cat at the end of a shower. to be joined by one during the event is even more peculiar.
Cats in tubs
