shadow through leaves

[OT from cottage renovations]

a day off work is potentially quite productive.  but for that potential to become kinetic one has to manage distractions better than I have been doing so far.

the pieris japonica out back is putting forth some new growth.  seen from above the arrangement is pleasing ...

but from the side I like it even more; the pattern of light passing through leaves created shadow effects that I couldn't resist.

it also threw blossom shadows onto the leaves of the wild hydrangea seen yesterday

if I actually get anything done today it will be somewhere between an accident and a miracle.

I don't want to spoil your perspective, but you did get something done!

good thing the day is not yet over, perhaps the answer will improve.
so far I have managed to get some things done, though not quite the mix I was looking for, the unexpected ones showed sufficiently encouraging progress that overall I think that at the end of the day I'll have come out ahead.

whether the outcome will represent accident or miracle is yet to be determined.
