the children's recital is always one of the highlights of music weekend for me; I've always attended.  only in the past couple of years have I been trying to take photos during the event. 

our Town Hall is a wonderful structure: wooden, old, octagonal, and having windows almost all the way around.  the acoustics are wonderful and it's the perfect venue for many musical events throughout the year.  but its natural lighting is a challenge to work with, all the more so because I always suppress flash in order to keep the from intruding into the proceedings.  many of these images do not meet my normal criteria for seeing the light of day (well, the light of your computer's monitor) but here they are.
