porch season is upon us and there's no better place to be. 
or there wouldn't be, if only for the unfortuante tendency of Culiseta longiareolata to dine upon porch dwellers.  those who lack sufficient generosity of spirit to volunteer to offer themselves up as a sacrifice to that particular species often adopt measure to encourage the pests to take their business elsewhere.
