snow recedes

[OT from cottage renovations]

the Grove had snow on Thursday and some sun on Friday, with temperatures high enough to start the melt. 

the cottage has an E-W orientation so it's no surprise that less snow remains to the S of the ridgeline and more to the N (this picture was taken out the back of the front section, looking out over the lower additions).

the edge of the snow looks like a wave breaking onto the shore and then receding.  slowly, in this case, very slowly.
