today was Meg's Date With Destiny at the Vet.  a reassuring call advises that the surgery went well, that she is doing fine and can come home tomorrow.

Peake hasn't figured out that she's absent and that he is in charge.  yet.

once she recovers I'm hoping things will come to a better balance between them as she will have extended outdoor privileges.  that should help; at least it will deal with any territorial aspects.

over the weekend another Spider Man film is said to have been released.  haven't seen it myself, but how coincidental can it be that here in the Grove arachnifera are blooming?  cinematic marketing is completely without limits.

the Grove isn't large enough to have many three way intersections.  one is in front of the Post Office (E. Diamond Avenue, Railroad Street and Washington Grove Lane) and another one is behind it (Brown Street, Hickory Road and Railroad Street).  (the only other one of which I am aware is the intersection of Acorn Lane with Grove and 3rd Avenues.)

the latter has this brilliant display of petunias.

walking past them and stopping for a moment provided a chance to see in this series how slight variations in angle changed these images, taken into the same part of the cluster, by more than I would have expected.

are the differences significant enough for you to favour any of them over the other two?  if so, which one?
