[OT from cottage renovations]

I seem to be unable to move past this notion of seeing double as noted a few days ago on 29 July.  I don't know whether the continuing fixation on my part is related to the ongoing heat wave.

today's example is this set of two views of a hibiscus flower, caught in the Circle's morning light and then again in the afternoon.  it's just one blossom and there are many similarities, yet many differences too.

in addition to hanging new old screens on the N and W windows and removing from the former the first set of self storing aluminum frame storms/screens, the Excellent Trim Carpenter cut out the aperture for the new old window.  this was done from the inside, nothing is yet visible from the outside.

note the sash weights and pulleys to the R of the window frame.

the new old screens look just right and better yet, the windows can now be opened at will for the first time since they were installed a year ago.

tomorrow he is planning to start fabrication of the trim pieces as well as the removal of the old new window and its replacement with the new old one.
