coming of age

[OT from cottage renovations]

next month the Wonder Boy will turn 21.  this is a significant milestone in his life and for some time I have been thinking about how to properly observe such an occasion.  we discussed it at length the other evening over pho, considering several options, and came to the conclusion that with his spring break coming up shortly after the event, spending a few days of it in London would be quite the thing. 

it is a long held dream on his part to go there and on mine to take him there.  he's in charge of deciding where to go and what to see and do.  no doubt the resulting list will come out different from any I would draw up for myself, but it's his trip.
