surveyors, pt. 2

the surveyors' office called back this morning; lead time for the work is 4 weeks after contract execution.  I asked them to go ahead and draw up the paperwork.  with any luck it can move back and forth today by fax. 

they also want 50% of the fee up front, which I will mind less than the month's wait for them to start.

though the detailed planning and permitting does depend on the results of the boundary survey, there are still plenty of other things that can be getting done, so the time isn't going to be completely wasted.
