"doing one's colours" was a fashion fad from several years ago. apparently it's still around, in London at www.cmb.co.uk or in the US at www.colormebeautiful.com .
with a painter's estimate (still) expected Really Soon Now some chromatic selection is coming due on this project. to help guide the choice of cottage HBAs in the form of finish coat exterior paint, I obtained some Sherwin-Williams colour cards and set them on the surfaces to be painted.

the idea is to keep the colours close to historical where known.  current tentative choices are as follows:
- walls: | pale yellow |
| |||||||||
- trim: | dark green |
| |||||||||
- porch ceiling: | light blue |
| |||||||||
- porch columns and framing: | white | ||||||||||
- porch deck: | grey |

the Sherwin-Williams website lets you search by colour number from the results of which the above shades were lifted. YMMV depending on your video and monitor settings but it should provide a reasonable approximation.
