[OT from cottage renovations]

somewhere along the way I have to admit it: I don't really care for tulips.  I don't know why that is, but they've always left me cold. 

so I don't really go out of my way to photograph them.  after all, they're just tulips, so what's the big deal? 

but today even I couldn't resist some of the ones that are currently blooming on the grounds of M^cCathran Hall.  with their ovoid shape and markings evocative of brush strokes they look for all the world like refugees from the Easter Egg hunt held there two weeks ago.
